In the 80s, Christophe Devins was actively involved in Gencod, which has since become the established GS1, and one of the key architects of the global standards for barcodes as well as a recognized expert in product identification and traceability. In the mid-90s, Christophe designed one of the premiere software platforms for product traceability and created his first company, ADHOC. The rapid success of the solution generated the interest of Dover Group which integrated ADHOC’s activities and appointed Christophe to the Head of Applications of Markem-Imaje, a global leading vendor of industrial coding and marking systems. At this stage, Christophe met David Carpentier who would become his future partner.Together, they created the first software platforms dedicated to unit identification and traceability which would achieve quick adoption among the fragrances and cosmetics industries to help them tackle counterfeiting and grey markets.
In 2007, with more than 25 years of experience and proven experience in coding and traceability, Christophe and David joined forces to create Adents. Together they designed one of the most powerful and visionary software solutions for unit identification and traceability, capable of achieving high speed serialization and real time global unit traceability, enabling brands and manufacturers to create a more personalized connection with their markets.
Christophe is regularly approached by international institutions for discussions around product identification standards and traceability issues.
